about the market
Milton’s main landmark is still the gothic-inspired Tokomairiro Presbyterian Church which was built in the 1880’s and has category one listed status with Heritage New Zealand.
The church yard provides a lovely sheltered setting for the weekly market which has an eclectic mix of stalls.

Milton is a town with a passionate community boasting great independent shops from a butcher to quirky second-hand stores. The creative spirit is strong here, perhaps encouraged by the naming of many town streets after famous writers.

Milton is at the core of the Bruce Ward in the Clutha District, and is the main entryway to North, South and Central Otago. It's an ideal place to take a break in your journey.

The market is held every Saturday morning, rain or shine, unless there is an unexpected need for a cancellation (which will be advised on Facebook and local media outlets).
